Teaching Mandarin in Indonesia as a Volunteer 2019

I used to teach Mandarin to Indonesians with one of my native Chinese friend when I was in Jakarta, Indonesia, doing my first year of university. The class was conducted face-to-face in my dormitory since it was before the Covid-19 hits.  I hope I still have an opportunity to teach face-to-face again soon

Mandarin Class with Mey 2020

Mandarin Class with Chanreaksmey Loy (Mey), from last year 2020. The class was conducted online and free of charge to everyone. There were four nationalities of students who have participated in this class with me, such as Cambodian (majority), Indonesian (2 students), Malaysian (1 student) and Filipino (1 student).  The class was conducted twice (1st and 2nd batches). The main reason I conducted this online Mandarin class for free because since we are not allowed to go anywhere during the pandemic of COVID-19, I decided/ wanted to share what I know about Mandarin (Chinese) to other people that are also interested in learning new foreign languages. And on the last day of each batch, there is a donation charity to Kantha Botha Children’s Hospital, in Siem Reap, Cambodia.  “The first donation from first batch” “The donation from second batch”
